Job Description:

Candidate should be responsible for operations, improvement, maintenance and revision of electronic control systems at the observatory such as telescope control, primary mirror control, instrumentation, adaptive optics and other miscellaneous systems. Perform system upgrades and improvements, including design, project management, fabrication and installation. Participate in the planning, installation and transition into operations of newly developed capabilities.

Desired competencies include:

Candidate should have strong electronics engineering and design skills, and demonstrated ability to plan and manage electronics and electro-mechanical systems projects. Ideal candidate should have excellent control systems background and should be a motivated self-starter who can manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast paced environment.
