Job Responsibilities: 

• Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant solutions 
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support 
• Working directly with development team, testing team and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and realise products 
• Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects 
• Build application design document (HLD, LLD etc.) 
• Develop and execute unit test cases 
• Write code for development of project requirement 
• Develop Android applications for given business requirement 
• Debug and fix the errors identified during unit testing and reported by testing team 
• Build the application installer and publish of App Store 
• Writing release notes, impact analysis etc. 
• Working with developers to build the interface with focus on usability features 
• Maintain industry standard coding practices 
• Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences 
• Optimising performance for the apps 
• Standardising the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple solutions with minimal duplication of effort 
• Keep oneself updated on the latest trends in the mobile technologies 
• Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Job Requirements: 

• A strong educational background, preferably with an engineering degree in Computer Science 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing Android based application. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent communication and writing skill 
• Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles 
• A track record of delivering successful consumer and/or business products. 
• Ability to use analytic data and user testing to take an informed design decision 
• A passion for new technology and the emerging industry landscape 
• Ability to multi task and good time management skills 
• Very strong OO design and programming skills 
• Proven experience of development with Android Studio, Android SDK, SQLite, MySQL and/or similar database management system 
• Experience in debugging android application 
• Experience of version management tool, preferably working with SVN 
• Good knowledge and experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) 
• Good knowledge and experience of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP 
• Knowledge of ABD, AVD, bmgr, Emulators and Draw 9-patch etc. 
• Published examples of mobile applications on the App store or the Android market is a plus 
• Working experience with a retail business domain is a plus 
• Hands on experience on Hybrid mobile computing platform will be a plus
