Different Types Of Helmets Available In The Market.

Half Helmet

1. A half Helmet has essentially the same front design as an open face helmet but without a lowered rear in the shape of a bowl.
2. It is not at all a safe helmet for the motor cycle riders as it don't protect the rider from any sort of damages except the head injury.
3. A Half Helmet can be used for Cycling. 

Open Face

1. The open face, or "three-quarters", helmet covers the ears, cheeks, and back of the head, but lacks the lower chin bar of the full face helmet. 
2. Many offer snap-on visors(Which is a Clear or Semi Transparent plastic layer)that may be used by the rider to reduce sunlight glare. 
3. An open face helmet provides the same rare protection as a full face helmet, but little protection to the face, even from non-crash events.
4. Bugs, dust, or even wind to the face and eyes can cause rider discomfort or injury.
5. This is the reason why most people don't prefer Open face Helmets,but they can be useful to the persons sitting behind the rider.

Modular Flip

1. A helmet model which lies in between full face and open face helmets for street use is the modular or "flip-up" helmet, also sometimes termed "convertible" or "flip-face" helmets. 
2. When fully assembled and closed, they resemble full face helmets by bearing a chin bar for absorbing face impacts.
3. Its chin bar may be pivoted upwards (or, in some cases, may be removed) by a special lever to allow access to most of the face, as in an open face helmet.
4. The Price range of the Flip-Up Helmets vary from Rs. 800 to Rs. 2500.

Full Face

1. A full face helmet is one which covers the entire head, with a rear shield that covers the base of the skull, and a protective section over the front of the chin which is normally made of sponge type material. 
2. Such helmets have an open cut out in a band across the eyes and nose, and often include a clear or semi transparent plastic face shield, known as a visor, that generally slides up and down to allow access to the face
3. Many full face helmets include vents to increase the airflow to the rider.
4. The Price of the Full face Helmets varies from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2000.
